Battery plate softening failure
The primary indication is the gradual transformation of the positive plate's surface. Initially firm, it gradually turns softer until it eventually becomes a paste. As a result, the battery capacity decreases due to the reduction in surface area.
To repair a battery, start by discharging it to 10.5V and then deeply discharging it using a bulb for a period of 1 to 5 hours. Afterward, use an activation instrument to initiate the repair process. There is a chance that this method may work, but if the battery is severely damaged, replacement may be necessary.
